Kanchenjunga Mountain is the third highest mountain in the world and it is one of the best trekking destinations for the trekkers who love adventure and are daredevils. Kanchenjunga trekking routes have been hardly explored and remain one of the most isolated trekking regions in Nepal. There's a belief from the native area that Kanchenjunga Mountain is the home to Yeti - the snowman. Along with that, the Kanchenjunga region provides a vivid diversity of flora and fauna. It is home to the Impedance Pheasant, Red-billed blue magpie, shy dragon and snow leopard along with amphibians and mammals. Kanchenjunga conservation area is playing a crucial role in protecting this animal in this region. If you truly want to indulge yourself in nature and loves challenges then this trek is for you.
The trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. The trek goes through the villages Taplejung, Chhirwa, Sekathum, Gyabla, Ghunsa, Khambachen, Lhonak, Ghunsa, Selele, Tseram, Ramche, Torongten, Sherpa gain, Phumpe Dada, Kadebhanjyang, LaliKharka, and Suketar, from where you take a flight back to Kathmandu. The trek takes you for a day trip to Kanchanjunga Base Camp and a day trip to Oktnag temple, where you can also visit the impressive glacier. During the trek, you can see beautiful (panoramic) views of Mt. Kabru, Yalung Kang, Kanchanjunga and Kumbakarna. Furthermore, the trek takes you through the Sinion La pass, the Mirgin La pass, and the Sinelapche pass.

Get ready to head towards Kadebhanjyang, it’s a pretty long day to hike since you'ill be ascending mostly until you reach today's destination. After a gradual walk up you will reach PhungphungDanda and later on Keshuwa. After crossing Keshuwa, you will finally reach the saddle of the ridge, KandeBhanjyang. This trail will provide you with the opportunity to explore the rich culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the native Limbu people. Explore the untouched natural landscape from Kandebhanjyang and it will be a treat you with the magnificent panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Kumbhakarna mountain and the Kabru ridge.
