Nepal, the land of Mt. Everest is popular for the friendly people, beautiful scenery, and a great variety of cultural traditions. Our journey from Lukla in the Everest region will take us into the world's most impressive mountain range which will forge lasting memories and instil a sense of accomplishment. This blend of outdoor adventure and cultural exploration is a great way to experience the Himalayas! Popularly known as the second most popular trekking destination in Nepal, Everest region is more expensive and difficult than the others. The region is popular not only due to its proximity to the world.

This itinerary is a guideline only and we will follow the itinerary as far as possible but due to weather conditions, health conditions, natural disasters and other unfavorable phenomenon your guide might decide to amend or cancel the itinerary for your own safety. Your guide will help you at any time with providing information regarding conditions and safety during the treks.

Welcome! To Kathmandu Nepal. Asian Heritage Treks & Travel Representative welcome you at the Airport with your nameplate. After Arrival at Nepal airport, transfer you to the hotel. On the way Airport to Hotel, you will pass by the (Pashupatinath temple), Royal Palace Museum i.e. Narayanhity, Garden Of Dream and reach the Thamel. Your hotel will be in downtown of Touristic Hub. Our representative will facilitate you and discuss your travel itinerary. There will be enough time to stroll through the street of Thamel.

You will start the program with a flight from TIA to Lukla Airport in Solukhumbu. The flight takes you over the Himalayas giving you a breathtaking panoramic view of the higher mountains, including the famous Mt. Everest, standing there with the snow-covered peak in all its glory. As the flight continues, you can feel Mt. Everest growing towards you. The altitude will hit you with the panoramic surroundings exactly when you get off from the flight. From Lukla, your trek will begin by the side of the DudhKoshi (Milk River) which can be seen meandering into the horizon. You will be trekking amidst rhododendron forest smelling the strong aroma of evergreen oak. The sighting of snowy peaks acts as an indicator that the trek is going to be more challenging and gradually the beginning of an adventure will test one’s mental and physical strength.

The trail will start off relatively easy but will gradually become harder. You will be able to get your first glimpse of Everest as you are crossing the mighty DudhKoshi. As you proceed on further, the trail will lead you to Monjo where you could make a lunch stopover. The next part of the trail will be more difficult. The trail becomes vertical and the altitude will add on as we head towards Namche, leaving one with shortness of breath. One should not increase the walking pace but rather progress slowly and steadily. You will be making a pit stop at Namche Bazaar for overnight. The people of and around the Solukhumbu region conjugate in this area to do business. There are facilities of shops, restaurants, hotels, a bank, and internet services which enable you to get in touch with your loved ones, friends and relatives. Namche Bazaar offers an interesting insight into how people survive in the region.

Namche Bazaar is also known as the Sherpa Capital. You can use your time to acclimatize, relax and explore the surrounding places. Most of the trekkers prefer to get up before sunrise to view the magnificent views of Mount Everest, Thamserku, AmaDablam and other glorious peaks from the Sagarmatha National Park. One can get a chance to observe the shadow of the mountains being pan projected onto the clouds above and truly appreciate their magnitude. As an energy supplier, one should try salt-butter tea and Champa – a kind of barley often consume by the Sherpa in the region. The lively cultural Saturday market is worth a visit and is usually full of traders who are trying to desperately sell off their products.

After having breakfast, we will start trekking towards Tengboche. Walking will start through the old but still used, Everest Expedition Trail. The trail is a winding smooth path that offers a fantastic view of Mount Everest (8,848 m), Thamserku (6,618 m) and AmaDablam peak standing at 6,856m located exactly at the east side of Mt. Everest, and leads you upwards through a thick forest of rhododendron. There is a high probability of you, coinciding with the Himalayan wildlife like musk deer, Himalayan Tahr, pheasants, monkeys, etc.

The lovely aroma of Juniper bush welcomes you and shows the way towards Tengboche. Tengboche is famous for the Buddhist Monastery (where you can attend the daily puja) and the viewpoint. The Tengboche Monastery is the largest and Most Dynamic Monastery of the Khumbu region. Many young Buddhist monks live and receive an excellent education there. From the courtyard, you can see spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The Mani Rimdu (a Sherpa dance-drama festival) takes place here during the full moon in November-December. Mani Rimdu is the worship of PhakpaChenrezig, the god of Compassion and the prayers are meant to benefit all beings. The elaborated and very meaningful dance performance attracts a large crowd during Mani Rimdu.

Today, we start our walk towards Dingboche. Dingboche is at an elevation of 4410m so that meant the trek is going to be quite challenging due to the elevation and the stones/rocks filled trail. On the way, we will see forests with a variety of lush trees – birch, conifers, and rhododendron and we will meet lots of yak during the walk. This picturesque trail dips down to Deboche, crossing the suspension bridge over the surging white waters of Imja River before climbing up to Dingboche. Soon after a snow white stupa with gorgeous all-seeing eyes is mirroring the AmaDablam, this is a marvelous place for a picture! Then the trail ascends gently to the village of Pangboche (3860 m), where we climb above the tree line. Then, we pass through the numerous grazing lands with big yak populations to reach to Dingboche valley.

After Breakfast, as soon as you start to walk, you will see the amazing mountain scenery which you hadn't expected. You will climb up ChhukhungRi 5,550 m. Here, the reward will be more valued than our effort as we find ourselves within access of beautiful peaks. The Breathtaking views of Cho Oyu 8,201 m, Pumori 7,161 m, the Lhotse Wall 8,400 m, Lhotse 8,500 m, AmaDablam 6,856m, Makalu 8,481 m and Baruntse 7,129 m will surprise us and prepare us well for what’s ahead.

Today you have the rest day. You can take time to explore the nearby places and enjoy the natural beauty of Chhukung and acclimatize yourself to the surroundings as well.

After breakfast, get ready to head towards Lobuche. You need to walk long today as today's trail is a bit longer than the earlier days. We will pass the first passes called the Kongma La (5400m). Then we will start our trail climbing up to the NiyangKhola Valley. A long screen descent brings us to the edge of the world’s famous Khumbu Glacier, the walk will gradually get easy as we cross it. After sometimes, you will reach Lobuche and today's walking concludes here.

After Breakfast, we will start walking through the rocky trail which leads to Gorekshep. You can have great views of the Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori and much more and will be able to see Khumbu Glacier on the way. After walking for a few hours, you will reach Gorekshep which is located at the bottom of Kalapatthar. Today, your dreams of visiting the base camp of the highest peak in the earth will come true. It is just 3 hours walk through the ridge of the Khumbu glacier. Here, you will enjoy the surrounding views of glaciers and mountains.

There are lots of Buddhist prayer flags which are the symbol of the Base Camp. During Mountain climbing season there will be many tents with colorful looking around like a garden with a variety of blossoming flowers. After exploring the surroundings, walk down to the lodge and spend the remaining time on leisure. You can read your favorite books/ listen to music or engage in gushing with other trekkers.

Today, We will start walking without breakfast in the morning which is about 2 hours hiking to the Kalapatthar, the greatest views of the Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mera Peak and many more. After that, we will come back to GorakShep via the viewpoint of the ice lakes of Pumori and Everest and take our breakfast. Now, we trek down to Dzongla through the winding trail which takes about 4-5 hours. Dzongla is a small settlement below the Cho La pass. On the way to Dzongla, you’ll also enjoy the scenic Cho La Lake.

Our journey headed to the Cho La Pass (5368 m) which is very vertical and tough climb, which takes around 3 hours over a rocky ridge to reach the top of the pass and are you will be feeling very lucky and will get unbelievable scenic beauty of AmaDablam, Thamserku, Taboche, Baruntse, and very nearby Cholatse. After crossing the Cho La pass we hike over the glacier across the snow and ice for about an hour. After lunch, we take rest for some time and walk down about 3 hours through the rocky path to Dragnag.

After Breakfast, we start walking the trail for 1.5 hours which leads to uphill and then easy walks for a while. You will also see the breathtaking views of Gokyo Lake and its surroundings. After some rest at the lodge at Gokyo, short climb to the ridge from where you can explore the amazing view of Glacier with its small glacier lakes. Stay overnight at Gokyo lodge.

Today, you will enjoy the best day on the entire trail. Although it is called the rest day you will enjoy the surroundings. You can hike to GokyoRi located at 5,360 m high hill on the north side of the DudhPokhari which takes around 2 to 3 hours. From the summit, you can have an overview of Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse and Taboche and the Ngozumpa Glacier. Hike up the Gokyo valley and pass two or three more glacial lakes towards Cho Oyu can be another option to spend the day.

Today, we start early heading up for the upper trail west of Gokyo Lake towards Renjo La pass (5,415 m). After climbing a steep sandy ridge for about 3 hours, we will reach the top of Renjo La where you have fabulous views of above 7000 m and 8000 m high peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Chalotse, and Taboche. Continuing the pass we will head through the pathway of stone stairs which leads to the southern b mank of a small serene lake, The AngladumbaTsho. After another 4 hours walk, we reach Lungden (4,380 m).

After Breakfast, We start our journey to Thame, known as a traditional village with slate-roofed houses of the Sherpa community. It is a short walk which allows plenty of time to explore Thame and its monastery and can enjoy the surroundings and the Sherpas living here. Thame is the largest village in the valley and it is better known as the home of Tenzing Norgay - the first Sherpa to climb Mount Everest together with Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953. Apa Sherpa - the man who holds the record for climbing Mount Everest the most times (21) was also born here. Thame Valley historically has been part of the so-called "Salt Route" from Tibet.

Today, After Breakfast your day starts walking downhill through the Rhododendron forest. Once you get at bottom of the hill, cross the suspension bridge and steep climbing through the pine and Juniper forest to Khumjung. After resting sometimes, you can explore the Khumjung village. After having lunch, continue your walk to the Namche Bazaar.

After having breakfast in a teahouse at Namche Bazaar, we will begin our trek to Lukla. Lunch will be served on the way. After we reach Lukla, we will have time to get refreshed and to relax. You can spend the time remembering the journey which you have covered during the past few days and can share your experience with other trekkers.

After Breakfast, get ready to fly back to Kathmandu which leaves before 10:00 am finally living the Everest Region. According to weather condition, there might be some fluctuation in the flight time. When the flight lands in Kathmandu Airport, our representative will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel by a private vehicle

Today you will have a rest day in Kathmandu. You will have a tour briefing about your Tibet Tour by the official representatives. After then, you will be provided with all the necessary documents like air-tickets, Visas, Permits. You can enjoy your day in your own way.

Have your breakfast and later on our office representative will come to receive you at the hotel and will transfer you at the airport according to your flight time and make sure to get a right-hand side seat in the plane as from this side of plane you will be able to see the magnificent views of the Himalayas including the biggest mountain on earth, Mount Everest. Arrive Lhasa, situated at 3650 meters (12,000 feet), Transfer to your booked hotel. After hotel Check-in, the time can be utilized as leisure. You can go for a city walk around the Barkhor, which is in the center of Lhasa’s Old Town. Jokhang Temple surrounded by the ancient market area is a perfect introduction to Tibet and the perfect place for photography.

You can be busy for several days in Lhasa as there are plenty of things to do and enjoy. You can visit Tibet's ancient Temple Jokhang, It is also the holiest and famous temple. In the morning, a large number of Tibetan pilgrims come here to worship the god and the place seems extremely crowded, but it is the best time to visit there. The Jokhang temple is the most sacred temple of Tibet and is one of the major attractions. In the afternoon, you can visit Sera Monastery and see the famous Buddhist philosophy debates that the monks take place each day (Monday—Friday). Overnight in Lhasa.

After Breakfast, you can visit the Potala Palace. It is best to explore inside of the Potala in the morning. Then, you can walk through the pilgrimage route around the Potala. In the afternoon, you can visit the amazing places such as the Norbulinka (the Dalai Lama’s summer palace), Drepung Monastery, Sangkhung Nunnery, Ramoche Temple and more. Note: Only a limited number of visitors are allowed inside the Potala Palace every day. So the order of sightseeing places will be decided upon by your guide.

After your breakfast in the morning, you take a 250 km drive and arrive at Shigatse(3900 m), Lhasa to Shigatse passes through fertile plains where wheat and barley are grown. One of the main attraction in Shigatse is the Tashilhunpo Monastery. Tashilhunpo is one of the 6 main monasteries of the Yellow Hat Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Tashilhunpo Monastery is the home monastery of Panchen Lamas, the most influential line of lama’s in Tibet after the Dalai Lama. The tomb of the 5th through the 10th Panchen Lama’s are found within the huge monastery.

Tashilhunpo is a major pilgrimage destination for Tibetans from across the plateau. The monastery is filled with a large number of pilgrims during New Years’ time, though there are at least a few hundred here each day throughout the rest of the year. Nearby to Tashilhunpo Monastery is the newly rebuilt ShigatseDzong. Walking Street, a few hundred meters before Tashilhunpo Monastery, is available with souvenir shops, restaurants, and tea houses.

Depart Shigatse and start driving to Nam Tso, the largest lake in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Along the way to Nam Tso, you will cross over the monstrous 5440 metersSuge La, one of the highest mountain passes in the world that you can drive over. This pass is over 80 meters higher than the Khardung La in Ladakh, India, which claims (but is incorrect) to be the highest motorable road in the world.

From the top of the Suge La Pass, you can get an excellent view of the 7000-meter peaks of the NyenchenTanglha Range. Nam Tso, elevation 4718 meters/15,479 feet, is an incredibly beautiful lake. There are often times some nomadic yak herders found along the way between the Suge La Pass and Nam Tso. Along the shores of the lake is the small monastery of Tashi Dor.

After breakfast, you will be driving back to Shigatse. lying 354 Kms. west of Lhasa at an altitude of 3,810 m. Lay back in your vehicle and enjoy the scenery from your car's windowpane and after reaching to Shigatse, check-in hotel and have a rest, later on, you can go to stroll around the nearby place of Shigatse.

In the morning, visit Tashilumo Monastery which is the seat of Panchen Lama, the equally important religious figure in Tibet as Dalai Lama. The monastery was built by the first Dalai Lama in 1447, and inside the Monastery placed the highest statue of Buddha in Tibet which is 26.8 meters high. Afterwards, you will drive back to Lhasa; the free time is on your own.

After breakfast transfer to Gonggar Airport in Lhasa for your onward flight to Kathmandu. Like in earlier times try to get the left side seat in the plane to observe the glorious view of the Himalaya ranges. Upon arrival at the airport meet our official representative and they will transfer you to the hotel. Check-in hotel and have a rest and later on, you can stroll around the Thamel street and to its nearby places.

Finally, today is the last day of your Nepal program. After having breakfast, you will pack your luggage, get fresh and check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to the International airport to catch the flight for your onward destination.
