Mera Peak [Climbing]

Day One Kathmandu to phaplu (2190) and trek to ringmo (2930) Flight distance 40m. Hiking distance 4 hours Day Two Ringmo to Kharikhola(2040) Hiking distance 6 to 7 hours Day Three Kharikhola to Panggom(2800m.) Hiking distance 5 to6 hours Day Four Panggom to Narjing Dingma (2600m.) Hiking distance 6 to 7 hours Day Five Narjing Dingma to chalem Kharka (3001m.) Hiking distance 6 to 7 hours Day Six Chalem kharka to Khula Kharka (3400m.) Hiking distance 6 to 7 hours Day Seven Khula kharka to Kothe (3900m.) Hiking distance 5 hours Day Eight Khote to Thagnak (4256) Hiking distance 4 to 5 hours
Day Nine Thagnak glacier acclimatization day. This is a useful day for boosting our adept ion to the altitude by gaining as much height as we can during the day but returning to Tagnak for the night. Opposite the Mera ridge the Tagnak valley leads up to a long range of peaks connecting Kusum Kanguru north to Kang Teiga. In the morning we climb to the glacier level (about 5,000m), mostly a rocky scramble, with great views of Mera behind. Day Ten Tangnak to Khare (5035m.) Hiking distance 5 hours Day Eleven Khare to Mera high camp (5790m.) Hiking distance 4 hours Day Twelve High Camp - Mera summit (6470m.) trek back to Khare. Hiking distance 11 hours. Day Thirteen Khare to Kothe Hiking distance 5 hours Day Fourteen Kothe to Chhetra -La Hiking distance 6 to 7hours Day Fifteen Chhetra- La to Lukla Hiking distance 6 hours Day Sixteen Lukla to Kathmandu Flight distance 45m.
