Tour Itinerary
Day One Kathmandu to Lukla flight (2840m) and trek to Phakding (2610m) Flight distance 30m. Hiking distance 3 to 4 hours Day Two Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3480m) Hiking distance 5 to 6 hours Day Three Rest day at Namche Bazaar Use your time wisely to acclimatize and explore around Namche Bazaar. It is known as the Sherpa “capital”. Ask your guide where his home village is. If he has a local connection he may take you to visit some traditional Nepali homes for some salt-butter tea and tsampa! The Saturday market is worth a visit. There is also a national park visitor’s center perched on the east side of town, which contains a museum and photo gallery. Day Four Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3750m) Hiking distance 4 to 5 hours Day Five Khumjung to Tengboche Monastery (3870m) Hiking distance 4 to 5 hours Day Six Tenboche to Pheriche (4240m) Hiking distance 5 to 6 hours Day Seven Pheriche to Lobuje (4930m) Hiking distance 5 to 6 hours
Day Eight Lobuje to Gorak Shep (5160m) hiking to kalopatthar (5550m.) Hiking distance 5 to 6 hours Day Nine Gorakshep\Everest base camp (5364m) back to Lobuje (4930m) Hiking distance 7 to 8 hours Day Ten Lobuje to Tengboche (3870m) Hiking distance 6 to 7 hours From Lobuje you will be descending. It is a long but easy way down to Tengboche. Day Eleven Tengboche to Thamo (3493m.) Hiking distance 6 to 7 hours Day Twelve Thamo to Phakding (2610m.) Hiking distance 4 to 5 hours Day Thirteen Phakding to Lukla Hiking distance 4 hours Day Fourteen Lukla to Kathmandu,Flight distance 40m. The flight back to Katmandu leaves before 10 00am. It can sometimes fluctuate according to weather conditions. The ride is approximately 40min.
