The Bigu Kalinchok valley known as “the valley of cultural place” is extremely rich in culture and tradition. The area is unspoiled and the people are virtually unknown outside of their country. Being so close to Tibet, the land and way of living are very much the same. The upper valley offers snow ridges, angry torrents enveloped in mist and lakes of crystalline brightness. You will have the chance to roam through oak and pine forests as well as the highest rhododendron forest in the country. Many monks live in the Bigu gompa that is renowned for mediation and there is also the Kalinchok temple (a female god and reincarnation of Goddess Kali) that is honored by Hindus from all over Nepal.
