Nepal Tourism Year 2011

Annapurna Circuit [High passes 5416]m.

Bookmark and Share

This trek offers spectacular mountain scenery. It is extremely diverse in culture and land, which makes it a very famous region in Nepal. The trail follows north of the main Himalayan range, to the dry Tibetan-like trans-Himalaya. It is enjoyable and requires no technical knowledge. All seasons are best for this trek. The Thorong - La pass is becoming easier to cross every year due to new developments so you can walk the trail in both directions but counterclockwise is best due to steepness of the track. If you like physical activity in the outdoors, the Annapurna round can be a flavorful, challenging experience.
