This tour provides you the opportunity to explore the country in the short duration of 8 days. You will visit Dambulla, Kandy, Kitulgala, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Tissamaharama, Mirissa, Galle and Bentota; which are the main highlights of the country from the tourism perspective. Among these destinations, some are enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage site and some are the destinations which are worth visiting once in a lifetime. 

Day 1: Arrival in Colombo: Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, our representative will meet and welcome you and then transfer you to the confirmed hotel. Now, you can rest and relax in the hotel. Overnight in Colombo.

 

Day 2: Colombo - Dambulla: After having breakfast in the hotel in Colombo, you will commence the scenic drive to Dambulla, en-route visit Dambulla Cave Temple; one of the best preserved cave temple complex of SirLanka which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. In Dambulla, you can visit Royal Rock Temple, Dambulla Museum, Dambulla Produce Market, Aukana Buddha, and Golden Temple.  Overnight Hotel in Dambulla.

 

Day 3: Dambulla - Kandy: After having breakfast, you will climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning. You will visit the Sigiriya Village on an Ox cart. Here, you can enjoy the traditional Sri Lankan lunch in a tree house, and visit a spice garden before arriving in Kandy where you will watch a cultural show in the evening. Overnight Hotel in Kandy.

 

Day 4: Kandy - Kitulgala - Nuwara Eliya: Visit Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth) at 6am and the Botanic Garden, Gem Museum, and Silk factory. Journey to Kitulgala to do water rafting. If you do not want to water raft, you may choose to proceed directly to Nuwara Eliya to visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about this native product. You will also visit Devon Falls, one of the most popular waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

 

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Tissamaharama:

You will have your breakfast in the hotel and get ready for the train trip. While on Train, you will have relaxed time of 3 hours. You will pass through the beautiful scenery including waterfalls, tea plantations and vegetable gardens. As you reach Ella, you will be picked up by your driver at the Train Station and proceed to Tissamaharama, which takes approximately 2 hours drive. As you reach Tissamaharama, you will check-in to the hotel. Overnight hotel in Tissamaharama.

 

Day 6: Tissamaharama - Mirissa:

In the early morning, you will start with Yala Safari. You will spend some hours over there and then have your breakfast. After having breakfast, you will commence your journey to Mirissa. The approximate distance is about 120 KM and it takes about 3 hours to reach there. On the way, you will visit the Hummanaya Blow Hole, the second-largest blow hole in the world. As you reach Mirissa, you will check-in to the hotel. Overnight in Mirissa.

 

Day 7: Mirissa - Galle - Bentota:

In the early Morning, you will leave the hotel to enjoy whale watching, and after returning to the hotel, you will have your breakfast. Now, you will proceed to Bentota. On the way, you will watch stilt fishermen, visit Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and enjoy Boat safari at Maduganga where you are taken to the small cinnamon islands. You will also visit a turtle farm in Kosgoda. Today, you will travel about 100 KM. In the late afternoon, you will reach Bentota and check-in to the hotel. Now, you have some hours to rest and relaxation. Overnight hotel in Bentota.

 

Day 8: Bentota - Colombo & final depatrure:

Today is the last day of your SriLanka tour. You will have your breakfast in the hotel. According to your flight time, you will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport in time to catch your flight to your onward destination.
