Day 1: Arrival in Colombo & transfer to Sigiriya
Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, our representative will meet and welcome you and then transfer you to Sigiriya. As you reach Sigiriya, you will check-into the hotel, and enjoy the rest of the day to relax at your leisure. Overnight hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 2: Sigiriya – Anuradhapura – Mihintale – Sigiriya
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the sacred city of Anuradhapura, which is one of the world heritage sites. After visiting Anuradhapura, you will visit to Mihintale in the afternoon; This place is the foundation place of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Overnight hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 3: Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya
Today, after having breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It is considered as one of the archaeological wonder of Sri Lanka. Afterward, visit the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa, which is also a world heritage site of Sri Lanka. Polonnaruwa used to be the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura. It comprises of the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century. Day 4: Sigiriya – Dambulla – Kandy
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will commence your drive to Kandy which takes about 3.5 hours to reach there and is about 120 KM far from Sigiriya. You will have a stopover in Dambulla Rock Cave Temple on the way. After spending some time, you will continue your journey to Kandy. Before reaching Kandy, you will explore a spice garden and a batik factory. And then continue your way to Kandy. Upon your arrival, you'll check in to the hotel. In the evening, you can enjoy a performance of Kandyan dance, and visit the Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth). Overnight hotel in Kandy.
Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After having breakfast, you will visit the city of Kandy and if you are interested, you can engage yourself in shopping some souvenirs. Before continuing the journey to Nuwara Eliya, you will visit the Royal Botanical Garden. Nuwara Eliya is approx. 80 KM far from Kandy and it takes about 2.5 hours to reach there. As you reach there, you will visit the golf course, Victoria Park, and Gregory Lake. Overnight hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Tissamaharama
You will have your breakfast and after that you will commence your journey to Tissamaharama. On the way, you will visit the 26-foot (8-meter) Ravana waterfalls on the way. Tissamaharama is about 150 KM far from Nuwara Eliya and it takes about 4 hours to reach there. As your reach there, you will check in at the hotel, and then leave for a Jeep safari in Yala National Park in the mid-afternoon. Overnight hotel in Tissa.
Day 7: Tissamaharama – Galle – Colombo
After taking breakfast, you will commence driving back to Colombo. On the way, you will visit Hambantota Salterns and the Stilt Fisherman at Weligama and the Galle Fort and continue driving to Colombo. Colombo is 230 KM far from Tissa and it takes about 5 - 6 hours time to reach there. As you reach Colombo, you will rest for some time and take a city tour to end your Sri Lanka exploration.
