Pattale Hill Village, (a tiny mountain settlement) 240km east of Kathmandu is one of the best viewpoints to see the excellent view of Mt. Everest 8848m. And many other Himalayan peaks. The road passes through the scenic village, river valley, and terracing mountain settlement.
The short hike to Pattale offers the unique culture and life of Sherpa & Magar indigenous people and their lifestyle and culture. The major inhabitant people are Magar, Sherpa, Rai, and Tamang with their main occupations in agriculture, trade, and tourism. You can enjoy traditional Sherpa culture and lifestyle. During the month of Feb-April, the rhododendron (the national flower of Nepal) will have amazing blooms that add to the beauty of Pattale Hill.

Itinerary

Day 1Drive To Patale (2800 M) Travel Duration: 8 Hrs

We start our journey early at 5:30 am and start driving towards Pattale Hill through the bank of Sun Koshi River. It takes about 8 hours of driving through various greenery Churia hills, small villages, and rivers, ascending and descending track of roads, and finally reaching Pattale Village. After refreshment, take a little hike around the village. In the village, there is a local market where people from another village come to sell their things.
Accommodation: Overnight at a local hotel or lodge.

Day 2Hike To Patale Hill & Drive Back To Kathmandu Travel Duration: 8 Hrs

In the early morning, we hike to Patale Hill for a sunrise view from the Horizon of Mountain ranges, an amazing view of Mt. Everest (8848 m), Mt. Makalu (8643 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Nuptse (7864 m), Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Ama Dablam (6812 m), Mera Peak (6461 m), Number, Karyalung, Cholatse, Taboche, Thamserku, Chamlang, Pumori and many more interesting views. Afterward, return to the hotel, have breakfast, and retrace our way back to Kathmandu.
