Annapurna Region is one of the preferred destinations for the moderate trekkers. Tourists, who enjoy experiencing the mountains, walking on the sloppy lands and feel the pleasant climate, choose this region as their ultimate trekking destination. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is a moderate trekking which commences from Birethati, a short drive (an hour) from Pokhara, which takes you to the foot of Mt. Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) .It, is also considered as one of the most magnificent peaks in the world. The trail takes you through the traditional villages of Nepal’s ethnic community of the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali people who will welcome you with their own tradition. The walk continues through dense rhododendron forest with cloud touching snowy peaks in the background. While returning down, the walk is even more interesting as the trek winds around different ridges breeze towards Ghorepani, where you observe wonderful views of sunrise where a red circle of light seeps through glistening gaps over the snow capped peaks of the Annapurna & Dhaulagiri Mountains. The sceneries seen throughout this trek decorates the landscape of the Himalayas, where imagination defines the beauty of nature and as an experience that can never be forgotten.

The Annapurna Base Camp trek will be even more interesting in spring as the whole forest along the trail looks red, pink and white with rhododendron flowers. This wonder trip can be done anytime of the year according to the interest of client.

Day 1: Pokhara to Tikhedunga
Altitude: 1540m
Driving duration: 1 ½ hours,Hiking duration: 3/4 hours
After breakfast, we will be driving to the trek commencing point, Nayapul (1050m). We start to walk through the old villages and meandering green hills. Terraced paddy fields along the neighboring yet distant hills and the wind gushing in your face makes for a pleasant and smooth drive with much time to enjoy the landscape. Take Lunch at Hile. The initial part of the trail is gentle and passes along paddy fields and one will be very soon transported and immersed into a vastly different lifestyle; which is simple but charming. The trail will lead to Tikhedhunga via Birethanti (1065m). Overnight stay will be in a tea house.

Day 2: Tikhedunga to Ghorepani
Altitude: 2750m 
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
After Breakfast, we will be rising up at a slow and gentle pace, passing through Ulleri (2070m). Take Lunch at Ulleri or Banthanti, the Magar villages where you will be pursued, a variety of dishes but with little add-ons of Magar twist on it. There will be lots of opportunities to interact with the locals and learn, understand and get pure experience about their lifestyle. Along the way, one can enjoy the majestic view of Machhapuchhre (6997m), Huinchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7219m) and the world’s largest rhododendron forest. One can get a chance to view the unique and colorful scenery of forest flowers during March and April. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.

Day 3: Gorepani to Tadapani via Poon Hill 
Altitude: 2650m/ 3210m
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
Today, we will start trekking from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) and then to Tadapani (2650m). It will take 6 to 7 hours to cover the distance. We will begin the trek to Poon hill (3210m) in the early morning to catch the first rays of sunlight. The pleasant sunrise at Poon hill trek passes through culturally rich villages that are set against the background of majestic mountains. Along with sunrise view over Mt. Annapurna, you will also see the panoramic views of several mountains including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains. After enjoying the beautiful sunrise over the Himalayas and Breakfast at Ghorepani, and then commence trek to Tadapani (2650 m). The trek will begin through the thick forest of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks. Lunch will be at Banthathi. One can observe and appreciate nature’s beauty; waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, birds and green valleys. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.

Day 4: Tadapani to Chhomrong
Altitude: 2170m 
Hiking duration: 5/6 hours
After Breakfast, we will start trekking through jungle areas. Along the way, you will pass beautiful Gurung villages. Among these villages, one can be a best stopover for Lunch and to interact with the locals.  After Lunch, continue trekking to Chhomrong. Chhomrong is a fascinating village situated on the knee of Mt Hiunchuli also known as the home of Gurung people (an ethnic group of Nepal with very unique culture and traditions).  Chhomrong is also known as the spot offering fantastic picture of the mountains like Annapurna south, Hiunchuli, Fishtail and many more. The spot also offers the beautiful rural scenery and view of the narrow gorge of Annapurna Sanctuary. In this trek you really feel that you aren't here just to do trekking /walking but also to see the beautiful views. Throughout the trail, you will meet many other Trekkers who can be your good friends for lifetime. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.

Day 5: Chhomrong to Dovan (2630m)
Altitude: 2630m
Hiking duration: 5/6 hours
The way gets down from Chhomrong to cross Chhomrong Khola before climbing towards Dovan through Rhododendron & Bamboo forests. Immediately after leaving, you arrive at the small settlement of Khuldi Ghat before another vertical down way to the valley. The trial gets ahead from the river bank through another tiny settlement known as Bamboo which has some local lodges / tea houses & crosses three streams before arriving at Dovan (2430m).Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.

Day 6: Dovan to Annapurna Base Camp  via Machhapuchhre Base Camp
Altitude: 4130m/ 3700m
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours.
Start climbing slowly through a river bank then by a vertical trail and down the other side to the glacier. Walking up aside of the glacier we arrive at Base Camp. From Machhapuchhre Base Camp we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a worthwhile experience. The flora disappears as we continue our way to ABC and the trail widens as we step on the Annapurna sanctuary. On the clear weather, we can observe the dynamic view of near-vertical south face of Annapurna standing exactly above us. From the base camp we still get to see breathtaking views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks. Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.  

Day 7: Annapurna Base Camp to Dovan 
Altitude: 2630m
Hiking duration: 2/3 hours
After enjoying Brilliant Mountain view of early morning, the frozen dawn is best observed from the glacier moraine from your place. Take hot breakfast with cup of tea or coffee and start our trek down to Dovan via MBC, Deurali. We take lunch break on the way to Dovan and continue walking. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.

Day 8: Dovan to Jhinu Danda (1780m)
Altitude: 1780m
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
After Breakfast, We walk around 40 minutes from Dovan and the lovely jungle walk to Sinuwa starts. From Sinuwa walk down to Chhomrung Khola and walk through long stone staircase upto upper Chhomrung. From chhomrung walk down to Jhinu Danda. After lunch, enjoy bathing in natural hot water on the nearby hot spring which is just 20 minutes far from your lodge. Jhinu Danda is also a best place for bird watching where you can enjoy with their natural activities. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge. 

Day 9: Jhinu Danda to Ghandruk Village
Altitude: 1990m
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
After Breakfast, walk through the rural mountain village which exactly directs you to Kim rung Khola. The trail goes to Kim rung hill through rhododendron forest. Short break in Kim rung hill trail and start walking to beautiful Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a beautiful village with Gurung settlement. We can see the old Gurung museum in Ghandruk. Ghandruk offers a great view of Annapurna south, Gangapurna, Annapurna -III, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre. Ghandruk is ideal for all kind of trekkers as it offers an easy trekking trail with no difficult climbing or ascents to the high altitude. Ghandruk village is decorated with Buddhist monasteries and the prayer flag. You can dip yourself into their custom and way of living. Day 10: Ghandruk Village to Pokhara
Hiking duration: 5/6 hours
Drive Distance: 1.5 hours
After Breakfast, the trail leads you down for about three hours to reach Birethati. From Birethati you will cross the suspension bridge over the Modi Khola and start for a half an hour walk arrive to Nayapul. From Nayapul, you will be picked up by a private vehicle to drive back to Pokhara.
