This tour combines all the south of Laos has to offer, with the major destinations in the rest of the country, i.e: the laidback capital Vientiane, the mysterious Plain of Jars and World Heritage city Luang Prabang. The south of Laos holds some of the most spectacular waterfalls and other natural sites of the country. Learn about the interesting tribal cultures in this area and visit the ancient Khmer temple complex of Wat Phu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Deep in the south, the Four Thousand Islands provide an ideal place to relax. The trip also involves many river cruises.

  • Day 1: Arrive Laos and Discover World Heritage Sites
    Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative and he will transfer you to the hotel in Luang Prabang. Rest of the day, you will have free time to get recovered from jet lag. You can explore the nearby area by taking local suggestion from the guide if you are not tired.     Day 2: Discover World Heritage Sites in Luang Prabang
    Luang Prabang is one of the most attractive cities of South-Asia. The value of this place is increased with the cultural sight as well as the natural sceneries. After breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. Then you will climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Later, you will explore Street Night Market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. After having dinner at a local restaurant you will return back to the hotel. Overnight hotel in Luang Prabang.

    Day 3: Visit Ancient Temples – Mekong River Boat Experience – Pak Ou Buddha Caves
    After breakfast in the hotel, you will start the day with sightseeing of the city including the oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. Then you will cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives you a beautiful view of the relaxing countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, you can see the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine. You will take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong and BanXienglek, well known for its handmade of Jute Sar paper. After having breakfast at a local restaurant, you will return to the hotel.     Day 4: Morning Alms – Market – Kuang Si Waterfall
    After having breakfast in the hotel, you can roam around the morning Phosi Market where you can find diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. After lunch, you will have the excursion including the Ban Ouay, Hmong Hill tribe, Ban Ou, Lowland Lao and Ban Thapene of Khmu village. You will also visit to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can splash around in the pools or walk along the forest paths. You will visit Ban Phanom in the evening, a well known weaving village. You will return to the hotel after having dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

    Day 5: Royal Palace – Scenic Ride to Plain of Jars
    After breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the National Museum which holds different things with various historical and cultural importances. After exploring the museum, you will visit the central Market of Laos. Then you will travel to Xiengkhouang which was destroyed by American bombing between 1964 and 1973. Then you will visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site. In the evening, you will roam the old capital of Muang Khoun. Then you will be transferred to the hotel.     Day 6: Fly to Vientiane – Buddha Park
    After breakfast in the hotel, you will roam the central market and also you can explore the town by yourself. Today, you will fly for Vientiane. After all the hotel procedures in Vientiane, you will start your travel to the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge and the Buddha Park, a display of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures created by mystical monk. You can enjoy the panoramic view of sunset over the Mekong River in the evening. After having dinner at a local restaurant, you will return back to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Vientiane.

    Day 7: Vientiane City Tour
    After breakfast in the hotel, you will explore Vientiane city. You will visit the Wat Sisaket and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. You will have your lunch at a local restaurant, and then you will visit other places of the Vientiane which includes Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng and Wat Haisok. The you will walk on the major shopping area of Vientiane Central Market of Talad Sao and Talad Kouad. You will return back to your hotel after having dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight hotel in Vientiane.

    Day 8: Fly to Pakse – Wat Phu World Heritage Temple Site – Four Thousand Islands
    After breakfast early in the morning, you will fly for Pakse. You will have some time to take rest and then you will start your journey towards the ruins of Wat Phu which is known as most important Hindu sanctuary of Khmer Empire. You will visit the Khmer temples and Buddhist shrines around here. Then you will cruise boat towards Don Khone Island. Overnight hotel in Don Khone Island.

    Day 9: River Cruise – Liphi Waterfall – Niagara of the East
    Today after breakfast in the hotel, you will explore the local villages of Ban Khone, where the old French majestic buildings and the first Lao railway can be found. You will continue your journey on cruising the boat and visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Laos known as Liphi Waterfall. This waterfall is also known as Samphamith. After having the joy of waterfall, you will return to ban nakasang and drive towards another waterfall of Khone Phapeng known as Noagara of the east which is the largest waterfall in the South East Asia. Overnight hotel in Don Khone Island.
    Day 10: Coffee Plantations and Hill Tribe Villages on the Bolaven Plateau
    You will leave the Don khone Island in the morning and start your journey towards Tadlo via Boloven Plateau. You can see popular tea and coffee plantation and other lush vegetation during the trip. You will be exploring the villages of the katu, Alak and Nge ethnic minority people on the way. After having dinner at a local restaurant, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight hotel in pakse.
    Day 11: Explore Pakse – Departure
    After having breakfast in the hotel, you will have some free time to explore Pakse on your own. Then you will be ready for departure.
