Day 1: Mekong River Cruise – Hill Tribe Villages
Upon your arrival in Laos, our representative will meet you at Thai Immigration and transfer to another pier to board a huge traditional Mekong riverboat for the downstream cruise to Pak Beng. You can observe the life styles of villagers in the riverside. Today you will visit ban Huai lam Pen which is a Hmong minority village with 50 families. You will enjoy the culture of local village. Overnight at Luangxay lodge.
Day 2: Mekong River Cruise – Pak Ou Buddha Caves
After having breakfast in the lodge, you may roam around the Pak Beng market in the morning. Today you will continue the river journey towards Luang Prabang. You can observe the famous sacred Pak Ou Caves during the cruise. The caves have been home to thousands of Buddha images which has been places here since 16th century. Local people use to bring the images of Buddha for paying respect. You will have your lunch at the cave and continue your journey. You can see the process of making rice wine during the journey. Even you can have the taste if you are interested. Then you will move towards luang Prabang. Overnight hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 3: Discover World Heritage Temples & Sites
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the impressive Thad makmo stupa; Wat Visoum and Wat Mai. Then you will visit the national Museum which was once used to be the King’s palace. You can find the collection of photos and musical instruments of royal family and many gifts received from dignitaries of foreign countries inside the museum. You will also visit to Wat Xieng Thong where you can see the uniqueness of Luang Prabang with several roofs sweeping low to the ground. Then you will head to Phou Siihil climbing its 350 steps and enjoy the clear crystal view in each direction. Then you will descend down and enjoy shopping in the Hmong market where you can get various Hmong handmade handicrafts. Overnight at Luang Prabang.
Day 4: Kuang Si Waterfall – Handicraft Village – Optional Program – Next Destination
After breakfast in the hotel, you will drive with your guide by car to Kuang Si waterfall in the final day. After this you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
