Day 1: Arrival to Phnom Penh:

Upon your arrival to Phnom Penh, one of our representatives will pick you at the airport and transferred to hotel for 4 nights’ stay. Your tour on the first day of Phnom Penh will starts from the Independence Monument built in 1958 for Cambodia's independence from France in 1953. It stands on the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city. You will have dinner at local restaurant and return to the hotel. Overnight hotel in Phnom Penh.

 

Day 2: Phnom Penh:

After breakfast in the hotel, visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town. On the south side of the palace is the Silver Pagoda, which got its name because its floor is made up of 5,000 silver tiles. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will continue visit to the National Museum, also called Musee des Beaux-Arts and the tallest religious structure in the city – the Wat Phnom. It is a Buddhist temple built in 1373. At 27m above ground, you can enjoy stunning views over the tree-lined avenues of the city. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along Sisowath Quay, which runs along the west bank of the Tonle Sap River. This is a 3km strip lined with hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. You can also try your luck at the casino games in the well-known NAGA World casino till dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, return back to hotel. Overnight hotel in Phnom penh.

 

Day 3: Phnom Penh:

Today after breakfast in the hotel, you will start the day with a visit to the notorious Tuol Sleng Museum. In 1975 Tuol Svay Prey High School, the former site of the museum, was taken over by Pol Pot's security forces and turned into a prison known as Security Prison. Then you will visit the Killing Fields of Choeung EK which is about 17 km south from Phnom Penh. It used to be the site of a former orchard and mass grave of victims of the Khmer Rouge killed between 1975 and 1979. Lunch will be at local restaurant.  After lunch, you will visit the Russian Market (Psah Tuol Thom Pong), a lively outdoor market where you will find a large selection of souvenirs, curios, antiques, handicraft, and many other things of interest to visitors. It is also the place to buy clothes at big discount prices. Transfer to your hotel after dinner. Overnight hotel in Phnom Penh.

 

Day 4: Phnom Penh – Phnom Oudong – Phnom Penh:

Today after breakfast, you will ascertain the former royal capital of Cambodia. About an hour west of Phnom Penh, laid the hills of the abandoned royal city of Oudong, the capital of Cambodia between 1618 & 1866. You will take a hike up the three hills at Phnom Oudong Mountain with an excellent countryside view. Marvel at the sight of the many ancient temples, stupas and other structures located here. These hills were also the sites of some of the Khmer Rouge’s most prolonged resistance against the encroaching Vietnamese army in 1979. On the way back to Phnom Penh, you will visit the Silver Village where artisans create silver, nickel and copper handicrafts with techniques that date back to the royal times. You can also see how life in the Cambodian Countryside is like. After lunch, you will explore Phnom Penh on your own until you board the 1-hour Mekong River cruise along the riverfront. Admire the beauty of the tranquil waters, magnificent views of tropical jungle-clad mountain peaks, impressive rock formations and well-hidden villages along this scenic cruise. You will be transferred back to the hotel. Overnight at Phnom Penh.

 

Day 5: Departure from Phnom Penh:

You will have leisure time for shopping and so on, until the time for your transfer to the International Airport of Phnom Penh for your departure.
