Ganesh Himal Region Trekking to Nepal

Ganesh Himal (7429m) is located in western Nepal between Manaslu and Langtang ranges. Ganesh Himal range is not very far from Katmandu valley and can be easily accessed. The trekking starts from Betrawati (six hours drive from Katmandu) and ends at Gorkha (seven hours drive from Katmandu). Trekking route goes through the maximum elevation of 4600m to 5000m. Part of this trekking is very difficult because of high pass and narrow trails. For this trekking, Good health and prior experience of hiking is necessary. Trekking in this region is recommended for its rich Flora: the impressive display of berberis, primula, orchids and a variety of Ferns, the valleys set ablaze by yellow blossoms of double Jasmine, the forest dense with Spanish oak, blue pine, and in Spring time blossoming of the rhododendron set whole forest alight in spectacular arrays of color. The trekking route passes through quite Tamang villages, hot spas, gorges and glaciers and reaches Sangjung Kharka and Khola Kharka to view Ganesh Himal V & II, Lang tang Li Rung (7,225m) and Paldor etc. The trek offers a superb opportunity to enjoy magnificent mountains and to discover rich flora in this remote region of Nepal.
