▬Trekking Equipments: ▬
The following equipment lists are suggested and essential for both camping & teahouse treks in the Himalayas. The use of this list as a guideline, most of the trekking equipment can be hired or bought in the many adventure shops in Kathmandu as well. Besides keep in mind that trekking gear can be bought in the many adventure shops in kathmandu, the majority of gear is locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper) although it is becoming more common for gear to be imported from china and therefore of better quality.
▬Personal necessary: ▬
The following basic equipments lists would help you with your packing. Please, remember that you should always try to keep the weight of your equipments to a minimum. Before starting the trek your packed trek bag should weight not more than 33 pounds or 15kg.
1. Fleece jacket or Pullover
2. Fleece wind-stopper jacket (optional)
3. Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) Shell jacket
4. Down Jacket
5. Down sleeping bag
6. Light weight gloves
7. Sun hat or scarf
8. Sunglasses
9. Sun cream
10. Extra T- shirts
11. Underwear
12. Lightweight cotton long pants
13. Light and expedition weight thermal bottoms
14. Fleece or wool pants
15. Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell pants
16. Thick warm wool hiking socks
17. Hiking boots with spare laces
18. Camp shoes (sneakers or sandals

1. Sleeping bag rated to zero degrees
2. Headlamp with spare bulbs and batteries
3. Small pad or combination lock to lock trek bag
4. Basic first aid kit
5. Large plastic bags for keeping item dry inside trek bag
6. Day pack
7. Thermoses sleeping pad
8. Water bottles
9. Bathing towel
10. Walking steak
