Our Team

Our team has more than a decade of practical experience as porter and guide covering all aspects of treks and tours, including Everest expeditions. Based on this experience as well as first-hand knowledge of the wants and needs of tourists, we are able to design unique tailor-made treks or tours with a personal touch.

History

Nilam Bastola grew up in the town of Necha. His parents were daily wage labourers working on the land of others. There were times when the family had neither a home nor anything to eat. In search for a better future he landed in the tourism industry where he found the necessary support to establish his own agency. As of 2004, the company is committed to sharing the benefits of its economic success with marginalized people in Nepal.

Responsible Travel

We are committed to promoting responsible travel that respects and protects local cultures, communities, landscapes and environments. We believe that our type of small group, off-the-beaten track tourism can bring benefits to many communities, help preserve the environments we travel to see, and provide real and positive social exchanges. We have developed our own comprehensive Responsible Tourism Policy.

Our Foundation

By booking through our company you indirectly provide health and medical support to the remote mountain village of Necha - the hometown of the owner and majority of the staff - in the foothills of the Mt. Everest in the Solukhumbu District through our foundation: Asian Heritage Foundation
